Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift: Mercedes-Benz showcased the refreshed C-Class at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. The carmaker has now confirmed that the updated sedan is coming to India in October 2018. The refreshed C-Class gets a host of cosmetic, mechanical, electronic and tech updates. However, the most important change will be the introduction of new BSVI-compliant petrol and diesel engines.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Variants & Prices: The current generation of the C-Class is available in three variants – Style, Avantgarde and Avantgarde Edition C – priced between Rs 39.9 lakh and Rs 46.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is also available in two AMG avatars as well – C 43 and C 63 S, which are priced at 77.95 lakh and Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Engines: The standard C-Class can be had with two engine options: a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder (184PS/Nm) petrol engine (C 200), and a 2.2-litre diesel engine in two states of tune – C 220 d (170PS/400Nm) and C 250 d (204PS/500Nm). The C 43 gets a 3.0-litre V6 (362PS/520Nm) petrol engine. All of these engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The C 63 S, on the other hand, is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 petrol (510PS/700Nm) engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Features: The C-Class is equipped with features such as seven airbags, adaptive braking and attention assist. Other features on offer include LED intelligent light system, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, five driving modes, dual-zone climate control, active parking assist, reversing camera and a Burmester audio system.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Competition: The C-Class takes on likes of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and the upcoming new Volvo S60.
